Hang Your Hat
Although we wanted to use “Christmas Lights” as our theme, in the dark they are very hard to capture in photographs. So, we had to go to “Plan B.” Fortunately, we received the wonderful photo shown here of the coyote on a misty winter morning. Photographer Brenda Walker was definitely in the right place at the right time. Thank you for the captivating photo!
There are a lot of great quilters on the Ranch, and the committee had a hard time choosing among the many wonderful photos of Quilts we received, but we finally picked “Decorating the Canyon” as the winner. The quilts shown are the handiwork of the Sage Quilters Group, which meets on the second & fourth Tuesdays of the month at the Senior Center. We want to thank Mary McCabe for sending in the photo, which not only highlights the wonderful quilts made by the members, but the Crooked River canyon as well. Nice shot!
We are now looking for a winning photograph of children enjoying the Easter Egg Hunt at Chandler Field on Saturday, April 4. You have until Monday, May 4 to get your photo in to Phyllis.firstname.lastname@example.org. Let’s see some pictures of Ranch children enjoying themselves at this great family event!
Finally, wouldn’t you like to see your photo of the Old Ranch House (aka The Senior Center) on the cover of the 2016 calendar? We are still looking for entries in that category, so take your camera down and snap a photo of that Ranch landmark. And next month, we will be asking for photos of the Deschutes River Canyon, so all you folks who enjoy that beautiful body of water start planning where to get that great shot! More information on that category will be in the May newsletter.
Thanks to all who submitted entries for the 2015 calendar! We only have a few calendars left, so hurry and get yours before they’re gone!
Tell us where you took the photo (must be on Crooked River Ranch!)
